You will receive two manifests. First: You will get a “"Do Not Pay" report” (there are no dollar amounts on it) along with the carriers invoice for the wrong amount.We hold the carriers invoice for 7 days, to make sure all reweighs and accessorial charges are applied.Second: When the invoices match the contracted amounts (including all accessorial fees) we will send you an “Ok to pay by carrier report”. Frontier Logistics knows the next morning if a shipment has been delayed or damaged and we will resolve the delay or begin a claim and notify you by 8:30 MST that morning. We handle the complete claims process from filing to settlement. All we require from you is the original invoice showing the cost of the damaged or lost shipment. We work closely with the claims department and maintain all correspondence on your behalf. We also assist in claims prevention. We will work with you in conjunction with our Corporate LTL representatives to ensure that your freight is properly packaged for safe, damage-free delivery to your customer.

Frontier Logistics was formed in 1999 as a sister company of Frontier Moving and Storage. Carriers hit accessorial charges hard...The carriers are finding anything they can to charge you more. Here are a few examples:$ 25.00 inspection fee to charge more for an over length fee…$ 140.00 minimum charge to insure a shipment for an additional $ 250.00 of insurance.… This additional insurance was in place for over 5 years. The $ 140.00 mimimum was not enforced. Someone discovered it, charged 21 invoices the extra and would not remove the charges. We go them dropped.

What you need to know and do to get paid on a claimCarriers have lost money. Claims are one of their largest expenses. They are doing everything they can to reduce that cost. We act as your agents in filing claims. The following will assist us in getting you paid the full amount on a claim from the carriers. If the driver is concerned about the time it takes to properly inspect a shipment please call us. We can ensure their patience. The consignee needs to do the following when receiving freight.• Do not sign the delivery receipt until the shipment has been inspected for damage or loss. • Note on the delivery receipt the damages or shortages. Inspect it while the driver is there; put the model number and description of the damaged product on the delivery receipt. • Know what is being receiving, the piece count and sign for pieces not skids. • Shrink wrapped pallets need to be inspected and note whether shrink wrap is intact or broken at time of delivery.• Do not write "subject to inspection" or crate damaged contents appear to be ok, in order to inspect later. It must be done with the driver.• Open and do a complete inspection ASAP, you have 48 hours to file a concealed damage report, then 9 months for a claim.Carriers will only pay 1\3 on a concealed damage, at the most.• Make sure you keep any damaged product and packaging. The carrier has the right to receive the damaged freight back and do an inspection before they pay the claim.• Call us immediately with the estimated dollar amount of the claim. As each day passes the opportunity to get the full amount of the claim diminishes. • Do not use the product or throw away the packaging until it has been inspected. We can get someone there in 24 hours.Our customer needs to do the following.• Let us know if you are shipping / receiving something that has extreme value compared to the weight. The carriers will only pay a certain amount per pound, depending on the class.• In case of damage/shortage, make sure to send Frontier the original invoice for the shipment, any replacement invoices, and a detailed report of any labor required to fix. Most carriers will only pay $ 50.00 per hour maximum for labor.• When filling out the bill of lading always state exactly what you are shipping. If it's a transmission and torque converter put: transmission with torque converter attached. If it's agricultural chemicals give the exact name of the product. If it's hazardous the exact name will follow the proper legal description.• When filling out a bill of lading put the exact piece count for the number, then the handling units after that. For example: 32 cartons of widgets on 1 skid. The consignee can then verify the piece count when signing for it.
